During my time at Intrasonics I worked on a wide variety of projects, most of which related to developing the company's core technology and exploring possible improvements and specialisations. I worked primarily in Matlab, conducting large scale analyses and designing complex experiments to evaluate the systems being developed. This also involved extensive real-world testing and comparison with simulation results. Smaller scale projects involved coding in Python and C++, along with gaining experience in other areas such as project management, product development, and patent research.
I led and contributed to various projects as a research assistant at C4DM, all relating to new music technologies. I worked with Mark Levy to develop his automatic playlist generation technology "SoundBite" into a user-friendly, cross platform application (see http://isophonics.net/SBReadmeMac) I was also a contributor to the OMRAS2 project (http://www.omras2.org/) exploring the possibilities offered by Semantic Web and Linked Data technology to create new possibilities in music analysis and discovery. Some example projects are described here: http://SonicTruths.net/old/dm.html
